One page, printed and taped to the dressing room door or sent as a message that morning. Everyone works from the same times, which is the whole point of it.
What is on it
- Date, city, venue and address
- Bus call or lobby call, and the drive time
- Load-in, soundcheck or line check
- Doors, support set times, then the artist's set time and length
- Curfew and load-out
- Hotel name and address, wifi codes, and local phone numbers
Who writes it
The tour manager, the night before, from whatever came out of advancing. On bigger tours production issues a separate crew sheet with the build and rigging times on it.
Keeping it useful
Times only, no explanation. Put the venue's own phone number on it, not an email address alone. If something moves during the day, say it out loud and reissue the sheet, because a schedule nobody trusts is worse than no schedule.
