Music page

Your whole catalogue.

Paste your Spotify artist page and TAP reads every release you put out, then finds it on Apple Music, Deezer and TIDAL. One page, one address per release, and a page that asks fans before the day.

Who opens it

They came to listen.

A fan from your bio, a promoter checking what you put out, an agent looking for the newest one. The page opens on covers by year, and every release has its own address underneath.

The catalogue

Covers by year, newest first. Each year names its own count. Above twelve releases, filter by single, EP, album or compilation; only the kinds you have appear, and the address follows the filter.

A release page

One card per release. Artwork, credits and the date, the player above one row per platform, and the tracks folded at the foot. Everyone credited is named, and links to their own page when they are on TAP.

Before the day

A release that is not out yet. Its page asks fans to be told instead: Apple Music, or an address we mail on the day. The address of the page does not change when the release lands.

Where the addresses come from

One barcode, every platform.

Every release carries a UPC. TAP looks it up, believes an answer only where the title agrees, and never puts up a search link and calls it an address.

Spotify Paste your Spotify artist page once. TAP reads the title, the kind, the date, the tracks and the artwork off it, and re-reads your catalogue every week.
Apple Music, Deezer and TIDAL Found by barcode. TAP looks the release up by its UPC and takes the address the platform answers with. A platform that answers nothing stays absent.
Bandcamp, YouTube and SoundCloud A barcode does not find these, so you paste them yourself on the release.
Your own address A platform TAP found is locked with TAP's address in it. Press Edit to use your own instead, on your pages only.
Managing it

Imported once, yours after.

TAP reads your catalogue every week, so a new release lands on the page without you opening the editor. Everything you do change sits in one list.

Add a release One field: the barcode your distributor gave you. Where TAP or Spotify already has the release, one press adds it, cover and credits and all, and you type nothing.
Coming up A release whose date is still ahead sits above the years, with a countdown and how many fans pre-saved it. It shows first on the page, with the day it lands.
Hide Switch a release off. It leaves the music page, the website, your links page and the API, and stays in your list so you can put it back.
On the links page The menu on a release puts it on your links page as a card that opens the release page. Remove it there and the release stays.
The address Every release has its own address under your music page. Change it in the Address field; links you already shared break.
One release, every artist on it Everyone credited holds their own copy: your address, your cover, your links. The title, the kind, the date and the barcode are shared, so nobody edits them from their own page.
Where it sits

The website reads it too.

Your six newest releases show on the website under Music, and a release joins your links page with one press. Import once and every page has it.

Your first hour

From handle to catalogue.

Six steps. One of them is pasting an address; TAP does the rest of the typing.

1 Claim a handle Lowercase letters and numbers, 3 to 30 characters, at least one letter. Sign in with your email; there is no password.
2 Add your Spotify artist page Under Music, the address that starts with open.spotify.com/artist/. It becomes your Spotify channel too, so you give it once.
3 Verify your phone Once, on your account. It keeps TAP free of catalogues nobody owns. Adding a release by hand needs no phone.
4 Import Press Import from Spotify. Releases appear in a few minutes, and TAP goes looking for them on the other platforms.
5 Publish One button on the overview. The music page opens at tap.fm/yourname/music.
6 Send the newest one Put the release on your links page, or send its own address. The same address works before the release and after it.
Questions

Asked often.

Short answers. The long ones are in the docs.

Where do the releases come from? Your Spotify artist page. TAP reads the catalogue off it, then looks every release up by its barcode on Apple Music, Deezer and TIDAL. Read more
Can I add a release by hand? Yes, and it needs no phone number. TAP asks for the barcode first, because that is the field that finds the release. Read more
What happens before a release is out? It shows first on the page with the day it lands, and its page asks fans to be told. The address does not change on the day. Read more
Someone else is credited. Who edits what? Everyone on the release holds their own copy of it. The title, the kind, the date and the barcode are the release itself and are shared. Read more
What if the barcode finds another album? TAP writes nothing and says what it found. Correct the barcode, or confirm that it is the right one. Read more
Can I change the handle later? Yes, on Profile beside the name, while the artist is not verified. On a verified artist you request the change and TAP reviews it. The old handle keeps redirecting to the artist either way. Read more
