Links page

One link for your bio.

Your latest release, your shop and the links you keep on one page. Music and video play on it. It reads the same profile as your website, so the name, avatar and channels are never typed twice.

Who opens it

A fan taps once.

They came for the new single, the date near them or the shirt. The page opens on your avatar and name, then the links, newest on top, and music plays without leaving it.

Players

A track, an album or a video plays on the page. Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, Mixcloud and Apple Music. A video shows its cover and loads when a visitor presses play.

Cards

Everything else is a card. A ticket page, a shop, a news item. The title, the description and the image you gave it. One card family, no pills.

The header

Avatar, name, tagline, channels. The tagline is the first paragraph of the bio, cut to 120 characters, unless you write your own. The channels are an icon row under it.

Links that play

Which links play.

A link to a track, an album or a video plays on the page. A link to a profile does not: a permanent presence is a channel and goes in the icon row.

Spotify A track or an episode. An album, playlist, artist page or show.
YouTube A video, a short or a live stream. The cover shows; the player loads when a visitor presses play.
SoundCloud A track or a set.
Mixcloud A show.
Apple Music A song, an album or a playlist.
Everything else Stays a card: a ticket page, a shop, a news item, a profile on any platform.
Managing it

Newest on top.

The links page is the one page you change every week. Everything about it fits in one screen of the editor.

Add a link A title, up to 80 characters, and the URL. Optional: a description under the title and an image. New links land on top.
Order Move a link with the arrows. The order is the only hierarchy: the top slot is the feature, so there is no featured flag to set.
Hide Switch Visible off. The link stays in your list with a Hidden tag and leaves the page. Switch it back on when the campaign returns.
The tagline The line under the name. The tagline is the first paragraph of the bio, cut to 120 characters, unless you write your own. Your own is up to 140 characters.
On the website The top three visible links of the links page, minus any link to a release the website already shows under Music.
The EPK row A row at the foot of the page when the EPK is set so anyone can find it. The pill in the bar of the EPK section sets who can find it. Off by default.
Where it sits

The same profile as the website.

The name, the avatar and the channels come from the artist. Change the avatar under Profile and the links page, the website and every app have the new one.

Your first hour

From handle to bio.

Six steps. A link or a channel opens it; a bio, an avatar and your link in your bio make it worth opening.

1 Claim a handle Lowercase letters and numbers, 3 to 30 characters, at least one letter. Sign in with your email; there is no password.
2 Add the name and a bio The name as it appears on the bill. The tagline is the first paragraph of the bio, cut to 120 characters, unless you write your own.
3 Add an avatar The round one at the top of the links page.
4 Add channels and a link One of either is what the links page needs to publish. Channels are where the artist lives, like the Spotify artist page: the icon row. A link is something to open now, like the new single: it plays.
5 Publish One button on the overview. The links page opens at tap.fm/yourname/links.
6 Put it in your bio Instagram, TikTok, the lot. One address that never changes, whatever you put on top of it this week.
Questions

Asked often.

Short answers. The long ones are in the docs.

Which links play on the page? A Spotify track, album, playlist, artist page or show; a YouTube video; a SoundCloud track or set; a Mixcloud show; an Apple Music song, album or playlist. Read more
Why does my Instagram profile not play? A profile is a channel, a permanent presence, and goes in the icon row. A link is something to open now: a release, a date, a shop. Read more
Can I change the line under the name? Yes. On the Settings tab under Links, up to 140 characters. The tagline is the first paragraph of the bio, cut to 120 characters, unless you write your own. Read more
Does the page carry a badge or watermark? No. Your name, your branding, and TAP's claim line in the foot, the same as on the website. Read more
Is there a limit on links? No. New ones land on top; hide the old ones instead of deleting them, and they come back with one switch. Read more
Can I change the handle later? Yes, on Profile beside the name, while the artist is not verified. On a verified artist you request the change and TAP reviews it. The old handle keeps redirecting to the artist either way. Read more
