The links page

One page of links, newest on top, with headings between them and music and video playing on it. Your portrait, logo or name, a tagline and the channels above.

Pages

The links page lives at the handle plus /links. Links are managed under Links.

  1. Press Add and choose Add link.
  2. Give a title, up to 80 characters, and the URL. It has to start with https.
  3. Optional: a description under the title, up to 255 characters, and an image. The image shows the link as a card, or as the cover on a video link.
  4. Save.

New links land on top. Move them with the arrows; the order is the only hierarchy.

A title longer than one line wraps to two, and is cut after that.

Add a heading

  1. Press Add and choose Add heading.
  2. Give a title, up to 80 characters.
  3. Save.

A heading is a line over the links under it, until the next heading. It carries a title and nothing else: no address, no line under it, no image. Move it with the arrows like any link, and switch Visible off to take it off the page.

The website shows your top three links and skips the headings.

Put a release on the page

Open Music, press the menu on a release and choose Add to links page. The link shows the release: the artwork, the title, the date and a button per platform, and it opens the release page. Give it your own title to say why it is there, like New single out now.

The release keeps the address and the artwork, so those two fields are the release's under Music. Delete the link and the release stays; hide the release and the link leaves the page until you show it again.

Switch Visible off. The link stays in the list, marked with a crossed-out eye, and leaves the page.

A Spotify track, a YouTube video, a SoundCloud track, a Mixcloud show or an Apple Music album, song or playlist plays on the page. Which URLs do: Links that play.

Every Spotify link plays in the small player here, one row tall, whatever it points at. The release page gives an album the full player.

Follow

At the foot of the page, above the fine print: one field where a listener leaves their address to hear about your next release. It is there once the artist is published. What happens with the address: Followers.

The top of the page

The links page opens with your logo or your portrait above your name. Choose which on the Settings tab, under Links. The logo shows your name in type when you have not uploaded one.

The tagline

The line under the name. By default the first paragraph of the bio, cut to 120 characters; on the Settings tab you can set your own, up to 140 characters. The website shows the one you set and never the bio's opening, because it prints the bio itself.

The EPK row

At the foot of the page, when the EPK is set so anyone can find it and has the press photo it needs: Who can see each page.
