An EPK set to 'Only people you give access' opens for nobody without a key, riders included. A key opens it for the person you send it to. Keys live on the EPK's Access tab.
Send a key
- Open Access for the artist.
- Fill in the name, and the email address if you want us to send the key for you.
- Press Create key.
With an email address, the person gets a mail with the link. Without one, the key is shown once on the screen: copy it then, or make a new one. We keep only a fingerprint of it.
The key opens every page of the artist, not the EPK alone. It works on a phone, on a laptop, and for the production manager the promoter forwards it to.
When someone asks
Set to 'Only people you give access', the EPK has a door, the first card on Access. Anyone can ask: a visitor who lands on the page leaves their name, email address and a note, and the ask reaches you. Invitation only: the page says the EPK is shared by invitation, and only a key you send opens it.
Requests wait under Asked for a key. Approve one and they get a key by mail. Turn one down and nothing is sent. Stats counts how many requests arrived in the range you pick.
Who holds a key
The list shows every key: who holds it, who sent it, when it was made, when it was last used and how many times it was opened.
- Send again replaces the key and mails the new one. The old key stops working.
- Revoke kills the key everywhere at once. The row stays, so you keep the record of who held it.
A key an app holds is governed through the app. Disconnect the app on the Apps page and every key it holds dies with it: Apps that work on the artist.
What visitors see without a key
Your avatar, your name and the form. On an invitation-only EPK the form asks for an email address alone and sends a fresh link to an address you already gave a key of your own, so someone who lost the mail gets back in and a stranger reaches nothing. A key an app handed out is the app's to replace, so an address holding only that one is sent nothing here. The other pages are unaffected: Who can see each page.
