Stats sits in the Artist group of your artist's editor, for owners and the people editing it through an app. It counts visits to your website (its products page included), links page, music page, release pages and EPK; the clicks on your links, your channel icons, the website's Listen button and Shop section, and the platform buttons on a release; what is taken from the EPK; the clicks on your contacts; and the messages sent through the contact form.
What you see
- Pick a range at the top: today, the last 7, 30 or 90 days, or a month. Every figure follows it, except the fans card.
- Six totals, each with the change against the same span before once that span holds anything: views, clicks, pre-saves, new followers, EPK clicks and contact clicks.
- Views per day, stacked by page, so the busy days and the busy pages read off one chart.
- Lists with a count and a share, what visitors did first: link clicks, channel clicks and shop clicks (the Shop section, the icon and each product), then releases, with views, clicks and pre-saves per release.
- Fans, all time whatever the range: how many confirmed followers you have, how many of them connected Apple Music, and per release the pre-saves waiting, saved and not saved. TAP holds their addresses and mails them; you see how many, never who.
- EPK clicks, one row per thing taken (the whole EPK downloaded, the bio copied, a photo opened) and one for the requests for access to a private EPK; contact clicks, per contact, with the messages sent through the form as the last row.
- Where the views came from, at the foot: by page, country, source and device.
The numbers are counted as they happen. Reload the page and you read the latest count; there is nothing to wait for.
What counts
- A visit counts when a browser opens one of your pages, unless that browser turned analytics off on TAP. Your own visits, your team's, anyone editing through a connected app and TAP's own staff never count on TAP, and neither do bots, previews or an embedded page.
- A click counts when a visitor clicks a link on your links page or website, one of your channel icons, the website's Listen button, your Shop section or shop icon, a product on your shop page, or a platform button wherever a release card carries one: the website, the links page, the music page and a release page. The link still goes straight to its address; TAP counts on the way out.
- An EPK click counts when a visitor downloads the whole EPK or one section, copies the facts, intro, bio or press quotes, or opens a photo, a logo or a rider. A contact click counts on Email, Call, Save contact and a contact's website on the EPK, and on the email address and the phone number on the website.
- One address counts once a minute per page and once in ten minutes per click, so a reload is not a new visitor.
- Pre-saves are the pre-saves confirmed inside the range, and followers the follows confirmed inside it. The fans card counts every confirmed follow and confirmed pre-save, all time, so the two read differently.
- A private EPK counts nothing, whoever holds a key.
Your own website on your own domain
On TAP your visits never count: TAP knows who you are. On your own domain it does not, so open the website from the editor (View page in the bar, the website row on Overview, or the Open button beside your domain). That turns analytics off in that browser on your domain, once, and your visits there stop counting. A member who types the address instead turns analytics off on the page's privacy summary.
Sources
A visit is counted to the site it came from: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, Threads, Snapchat, Reddit, LinkedIn, Pinterest, WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Linktree, Songkick, Bandsintown, Google, Bing or DuckDuckGo; Your pages for a visitor moving between your own pages; TAP for the rest of the site; Direct for a typed or pasted address; Other sites for everything else; Unknown when the browser reports an address TAP cannot read. A link tagged with utm_source names its source itself, so a newsletter or an advert reads right whatever the browser reports; a utm_medium of email or newsletter reads as Email.
What is kept
Daily totals only: a count per day for each page, link, channel, release, EPK section, contact and message form, and for the Shop section, the shop icon and each product, and per day the split of the views by source, country and device. TAP keeps no record of a single visit, no addresses and no browsers. Country comes from the network edge and reads Unknown where the edge reports nothing. Deleting the artist deletes the counts.
