A channel is an official presence of the artist somewhere else: the Spotify artist page, the Instagram account, the YouTube channel. Channels live under Profile.
Add one
- Press Add channel.
- Pick the platform and paste the URL. It has to start with https.
- Save.
We drop the tracking parameters a share sheet adds to a URL, so the link stays clean.
Platforms
Apple Music, Bandcamp, Beatport, Bluesky, Deezer, Discord, Dropbox, Facebook, Google Drive, Instagram, LinkedIn, Mastodon, Mixcloud, OnlyFans, Patreon, Pinterest, Reddit, Resident Advisor, Snapchat, Songkick, SoundCloud, Spotify, Telegram, Threads, TIDAL, TikTok, Twitch, VK, X and YouTube.
The artist's own website has its own field: Add your website.
The shop
The shop is no channel. The Shop card sits under Profile, for the store where the artist sells:
- Name: Shop, Store, Merch, Merchandise or Webshop. The button, the website's bar, the icon and the address of your products use it:
/merchif you call it Merch. - Tagline: up to 80 characters, under the name in the Shop section.
- Address: one address, like the website. Emptying it takes the shop off the pages and leaves the image where it is.
- Image: the website gives the shop its own section, the width of the page, with one button into it. Wide images work best; a shop without an image is a plain section and the same button.
The shop also sits at the end of the channel row. Selling on Shopify: Show your Shopify products.
Channel or link
A channel is where the artist lives; a link is something to open now. The Spotify artist page is a channel. The new single on Spotify is a link, and it plays on the links page: The links page.
