Show your Shopify products

Your Shopify products on your website, and a fan who clicks one pays in your store.

Team and apps

Shopify is an integration: it fills the shop on your website with your products. A fan clicks one and pays in your Shopify store. TAP sells nothing itself.

Integrations, the tab under Apps these steps start from, is TAP's own while TAP is not in the Shopify App Store: an owner sees Apps open on Access and cannot connect a store there. The address on your Shop card leads fans to your store: Add your channels.

Connect your store

  1. Open Apps in the sidebar, on the Integrations tab, and click Shopify.
  2. Answer one question: do you have access to the Shopify store?

Yes: add TAP to your store from the Shopify App Store. Open TAP in your Shopify admin, press Sign in with TAP and pick the artist, then publish your products to TAP. The store's own address becomes the address on your Shop card.

No: for a store someone else runs, a merch company for example. Type the store's address, its own domain or its myshopify.com address, and it becomes the address on your Shop card. TAP reads what anyone can see in the store, once a day. Make sure the store sells for this artist.

A store behind its password shows nothing to anyone, so TAP cannot read it. Take the password off in Shopify first.

Start in Shopify

Found TAP in the Shopify App Store first? Add it to your store, open it in your Shopify admin and press Sign in with TAP. Sign in, or make an account, and pick the artist. Only an owner of the artist can pick it.

One store can fill the shop of more than one artist, a label's store for example. Open TAP in your Shopify admin and, under Another artist sells in this store?, press Sign in with TAP and pick the next one.

Publish products to TAP

TAP is a sales channel in your Shopify admin, like the Online Store. Your website shows the products you publish to it.

  1. Open TAP in your Shopify admin and press Publish products to TAP.
  2. Select the products for your website.
  3. Choose Include in sales channels, tick TAP and save.

They show on your website within a minute. Unpublish a product from TAP and it leaves your website.

What your website shows

  • The Shop section on your website and the shop icon next to your channels open your products, at your handle plus the name you gave the shop: /merch if you call it Merch, /store if you call it Store.
  • That page lists the products you published to TAP, best sellers first, with the image, the name and the price. For a store someone else runs, it lists what the store sells.
  • A product with one version goes straight to the store checkout. A product with sizes or colours opens its page in your store, where the fan picks one.
  • An order a fan places from your website shows in Shopify as coming through TAP. TAP takes no commission.

The page belongs to your website: it follows the website's visibility, and it moves to your own domain with the website.

Disconnect

Open Shopify on the Integrations tab and click Disconnect, or open TAP in your Shopify admin and press Disconnect beside the artist. The products leave your website, and the Shop section and the icon lead to the address on your Shop card again. Removing TAP from your Shopify store does the same for every artist it fills.

One store at a time

Your shop takes one store at a time. Open Shopify on the Integrations tab and click Connect another store: the new store replaces the one that fills it now.
