An assistant you connect, such as Claude or ChatGPT, works on the artists you run as you. Ask it to rewrite the bio, add a channel, put a new release on the links page or switch the EPK to private, and it makes the change the way the editor would.
Connect it
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector.
- Give it the address
https://tap.fm/mcp. - Sign in to TAP when it asks, read what it may do and press Approve access.
ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code connect the same way, to the same address. The consent screen names the assistant after the address it sends you back to, never the name it gave itself, and says 'Approving returns you to claude.ai'.
Connecting needs a verified phone number on your account, as signing in to any app does: Verify your phone number.
What it can do
Everything you can do in the editor, for the artists where you may change it:
- The profile: name and handle until the artist is verified, the intro, the bio, the shop, the channels and the artist's own website.
- Contacts, facts, press quotes, videos and notes.
- Files: the avatar, logo, favicon, hero image, press photos, EPK logos and riders.
- The links page, the website's layout and sections, branding, who can see each page, and publishing.
- Releases: add one by its barcode or by hand, change it, hide it, pin it, put it on the links page, import the catalogue from Spotify.
- EPK keys and the requests for them, the team, and outside addresses for the activity by email.
- The domain: it adds and checks the records, and puts the website on the domain only when you ask.
- Stats and the artist's activity.
An owner can also unpublish, request verification and ask TAP for a new name or handle. A member who is not an owner reads the artist's activity and sets their own contact details, as in the editor.
It does not delete an artist, hand it to someone else, export it or disconnect an app. Those stay in the editor.
Files come by address
An assistant cannot hand TAP a file from the chat. Give it an https address the file sits at, such as a Dropbox or Google Drive link, a press page or the image on a release, and TAP fetches it. The file passes the same checks as an upload: the type, the size and, for photos, the pixel limit.
What shows where
Every change is on the artist's Activity as yours, and goes out in the activity by email like any change you make. Approving the connection is on your own account's Activity.
Stop it
Under Sign in with TAP in your account, the assistant is listed with what it may do. Revoke ends it at once; connecting again asks you again.
