The consent screen
When an app asks, you see '{app} wants access' and what it may do. There are three things an app can ask for:
- Read your name, email address and passport.
- Read public artists and the artists you belong to.
- Connect the artists you own to this app.
Approve access, or Deny. Approving sends you back to the app.
An assistant such as Claude asks for something else: to read and change the artists you run, as you. That is Run your artists from Claude.
A verified phone number is needed
Signing in to an app with TAP needs a verified phone number on your account. Verify once and you are sent straight back: Verify your phone number.
An app that is not ready
An app that registered with TAP but has not cleared our review cannot sign you in. You see that nothing from your account was shared with it.
Your passport
The first of the three covers your passport, when you have one: Apps and your passport.
Revoke it
Under Sign in with TAP in your account, every app you signed in to is listed with what it may read. Revoke signs you out of it. The app itself keeps existing, and an app connected to one of your artists stays connected: that is under Apps in the artist's sidebar, Apps that work on the artist.
