Facts and intro

Eight facts a promoter reads at a glance, and a short introduction of up to 400 characters. Both open the EPK.

Profile

Facts live under EPK, on the Material tab. The intro sits under Profile, in Details.

The eight facts

  • Genre: up to three, from 77 choices.
  • Origin: one country, from the 249 ISO countries, shown by name.
  • Performance: DJ set, Live act, Band, Duo, B2B, Tribute act or Covers. Choose more than one when it fits.
  • Preferred set length: 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or 2 hours or longer.
  • Played at: up to 10 names, 60 characters each, one per line.
  • Label: the contacts that carry the Label role.
  • Agent: the contacts that carry the Agent role, with their territories.
  • Releases: how many you put out and the year of the first, read from Music. Hidden releases are left out.

Releases, Label and Agent hold no value you type. TAP derives them from your releases and your contacts.

Add a fact

  1. Press Add fact in the head of the Facts section.
  2. Pick the fact. Each one goes on the profile once.
  3. Choose the values. For Label and Agent, choose the contacts.
  4. Press Add fact.

The editor opens as a sheet. Press a row to change it, and the arrows on a row move it one place. That order is the order the EPK reads.

Contacts on a Label or Agent fact

Choosing a contact there gives them that role. Switch a chip off and the role goes, and an agent loses its territories with it, exactly as in the contact editor. Removing the fact itself leaves every role alone: Contacts: who a promoter writes to.

The intro

Up to 400 characters, plain text. One paragraph a promoter can paste into a programme or a post without cutting it down first. The bio is the long version: The artist's name and bio.

Where they show up

The EPK opens with Facts, then Intro, each with a copy button. Copy on Facts puts one line per fact in the paste buffer: The EPK.

The Releases fact shows on the EPK and in the API while the music page is on, and stays out while it is off.

Apps read intro and facts with the rest of the profile: The API reference. Both are in profile.json in the export: Export and delete.

The website shows the intro in its About section and leaves the facts out. The links page and the music page leave both out.
