Personal API tokens

A key you make for yourself, under API tokens. It carries your authority and expires when you say.

For developers

Make one

  1. Open API tokens in your account.
  2. Press New token. Name it after the thing that will use it, and pick when it expires: 30 days, 90 days, a year, or never.
  3. Copy the token. It is shown once.

Use it

Authorization: Bearer {token}

on any request to /api/v1. The token reads what you can read and belongs to the artists you belong to. It cannot do more than you, and it has no scopes to narrow it.

Revoke it

Open the token and press Revoke. It stops working at once. The list shows when each token was made, when it expires and when it was last used.

Not for an app

A personal token cannot connect artists to an app. That needs a token a person granted the app through Sign in with TAP: Sign in with TAP: scopes and the consent screen.
