Backstage

Every part of a venue the audience does not see: dressing rooms, catering, production offices, the wings.

Glossary

Backstage begins at the door the audience cannot pass. Everything the show needs in order to happen lives behind it.

What is back there

  • Dressing rooms and the green room
  • The production office, where settlement and paperwork happen
  • Catering and the crew room
  • The wings, stage-left and stage-right, where gear waits between sets
  • Storage for empty cases, which is always smaller than you hoped

How access works

Wristbands or laminates, checked at each door. Festivals grade the levels: artist, crew, working, and an AAA pass that opens everything. Guests are named and counted through Accreditation days before, not talked through the gate on the night.

Behaving in it

Backstage is a workplace with cable runs, heavy cases and moving trusses. Keep walkways clear, keep your guests with you, and keep the wings quiet while somebody else is playing.

Free for artists.

One place to keep your artist's facts, intro, bio, photos, riders and contacts up to date. Change it once and every promoter opens the newest version. Yours at tap.fm/yourname.
