A music page is the artist's own catalogue at an address they control: what they have put out, newest first, and one page per release listing where to hear it.
Why not the streaming profile
A streaming profile shows one platform's version of a catalogue, to people already on that platform, next to whatever else that platform wants to show them. An artist sending a link to a promoter, a journalist or a listener who uses something else needs a page that names every platform and belongs to nobody.
What a release page is for
One release, its artwork, who is on it, the date, and a row per platform so the reader opens it where they already listen. It is the link that goes in the post, the mail and the bio, and it is the same link before and after the release date.
Keeping it current
A catalogue is only useful while it is complete. Every release added by hand is a release somebody forgets, which is why a page fed from the artist's own streaming catalogue stays right without anybody maintaining it.
