Channels

An artist's official presences elsewhere: Spotify, Instagram, YouTube, Bandcamp, SoundCloud and the rest.

On TAP

Channels live once on the artist and show as a row of icons on the website, the links page, the EPK and every release page.

Channels are where an artist already exists online. Each one has an audience, an address and a set of numbers, and together they are the first thing anyone checks after hearing a name.

The usual set

  • Streaming: Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal.
  • Video: YouTube.
  • Social: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X.
  • Music-first: Bandcamp, SoundCloud, Beatport, Mixcloud.
  • Direct: a follow form, and a website on a domain the artist owns.

Why the list has to be right

A promoter announcing a show tags the artist and links the music. Handed the wrong Spotify page, they tag a different artist with the same name and send listeners somewhere else. Handed nothing, they search and use whatever ranks first, which is often an abandoned profile or a fan page.

Keep one canonical list

Write the exact URLs down once and use that list for every festival form, every EPK and every promoter email. Include the ones the artist no longer posts to, so nobody links them by accident, and close the profiles nobody controls.

Free for artists.

One place to keep your artist's facts, intro, bio, photos, riders and contacts up to date. Change it once and every promoter opens the newest version. Yours at tap.fm/yourname.
