Verification was granted to an artist with a name, at a handle. Changing either changes what was checked, so TAP looks first.
Request the change
- Open Profile. The name and the handle are locked, with one link under both: Request a change.
- Change the name, the handle or both.
- Press Request change.
Under each field you see what you requested and the date, and under both, Withdraw the request. One request stands at a time and carries the name, the handle or both.
Approved
The artist is renamed and stays verified. The old handle keeps redirecting to the new one and stays reserved for this artist. The Activity page shows the change.
Denied
You see the date and the reason under the field.
