What it says
Verified means TAP checked that the people behind this profile are the artist or their team. Not that the artist is good, not that the pages are complete: that the profile is in the right hands.
Platforms and apps that read the artist do not check again. They read the date it was verified along with the profile.
Where it shows
- In the footer of the website, the links page, the music page and the EPK. A visitor who presses it reads the date, what was checked, and that the artist cannot set it.
- In the EPK title, next to the name.
- In every app that reads the artist, as the date it was verified.
Not verified
An artist that is not verified works: the pages, the team, the apps. The artist pages say nothing about it: the footer carries no verification item and the EPK title carries no badge. In the editor, Verification shows the badge in outline.
