What you may not publish

The limits on what goes on an artist, what we will not host at all, and what happens when a line is crossed. Reports, warnings and appeals.

For artists and their teams

Last updated 25 Sep 2026

An artist's profile is public, and other people rely on it. These rules exist so that it stays worth relying on. They apply to everything on an artist: the name, the biography, images, documents, links and contacts. They apply to the photo on your passport too.

Be who you say you are

This is the one that matters most, because everything else here depends on it.

Do not register an artist you are not entitled to represent. Do not use a name, image, logo or handle that suggests you are someone you are not, or that you are connected to someone you are not. Do not claim an artist that belongs to someone else.

The avatar on an account that holds a passport must be a photograph of you, your face straight on, not a logo.

Impersonation is the fastest way to lose an artist, and it is the only rule where we act first and discuss afterwards.

Only publish what is yours to publish

You confirm, for everything you put on an artist, that you hold the rights or have permission. That includes photographs, logos, artwork, and text written by someone else.

It also includes other people's details. If you list someone as a contact, or upload a document naming them, you are telling us you are entitled to do that. We publish a notice for the people an artist lists, at Privacy for contacts, which tells them what we hold and how to correct or remove it, but that does not replace your responsibility for putting them there.

Never upload a document containing medical information, dietary requirements, allergies, or anything else about a person's health or beliefs, unless the EPK is set to 'Only people you give access' and you have that person's explicit permission. A public or unlisted EPK shows the document to everyone who opens the page.

Keep it accurate

Do not publish information you know to be false. Do not present speculation as fact. If a contact leaves or a detail changes, update it.

Do not publish

  • Content that is unlawful under Dutch or European law.
  • Content that is harassing, threatening, or incites violence or hatred.
  • Sexual content involving minors, or any depiction of a minor in a sexualised way. We report this to the authorities.
  • Malware, phishing, or links to either.
  • Content that infringes someone else's intellectual property.

Do not attack the register

  • Do not access the register by automated means outside our API and its conditions of use.
  • Do not scrape, mirror, or build a copy of the register.
  • Do not try to gain access to artists you do not manage, to a passport that is not yours, or to our systems.
  • Do not use contact details from an artist to sell something to the people listed.

What happens when these rules are broken

Depending on what happened, we may suspend an artist and its public pages, withdraw verification, revoke a passport, or block the account.

Whatever we do, you get a reason in writing, and you can appeal by replying to it. Where the problem can be fixed and there is no urgency, we ask you to fix it before we act.

We act immediately and without notice only where waiting would cause harm: impersonation, unlawful content, a security risk, or a legal order.

Reporting something

Anyone can report an artist, whether or not they have an account, from the report link on the page. Name the page and tell us what you found. Every report is queued for a person. If you left an email address, we tell you what we decided, with the reason. We never tell the artist who reported them.
